HISTORY OF BRENT MILLER

The story of Brent Miller Jewelers began in 1956 with Jeanne Miller.

1956

Brent Miller's mother,  Jeanne, instilled in him a passion for gemology, timepieces, jewelry, and antiques. As a gemologist and Fellow of the Gemological Association of Great Britain, Jeanne took her passion and turned it into a female-owned and operated business  known as Miller Antiques.

*Fun fact: Jeanne was one of the first female Fellows in the US.*

1961

Jeanne and Brent were featured in the Northern Virginia SUN newspaper. The article featured the Miller's collection of over 300 clocks in their home. Collecting clocks was a hobby for the whole family. They had clocks dating back to the early 1800's. Brent was 10 years old at the time. By 1968, Brent began helping  Jeanne at her antique shows.

This continues the journey he began as a young boy admiring his family's collection of clocks and helping at the antique shows. By 1976, Brent began working at Kay Jewelers at the Park City Mall. It was working here that he met Jo, who "accidentally" tapped on the glass while flipping her hair.
